III. Literature as a Platform in Education for Sustainable Development
Literature reminds us of stories, epics, sacred scriptures and classical works of the ancient and modern times. Literature is defined as the body of written works of a language, period or culture.It is important to us in our education it enhance the minds of every people and to make some imaginative and realistic thing its gives us development .The literature in a life of students its gives us some explanation in the past tradition of every Filipino in the past years. it still to the mind and it will not banish and also gives us moral lesson what is important of being good.Also literature remind us the tradition of every Filipino in different places in Philippines.

Usually, ink is filled in a bottle. It is useless when it;s still in a bottle. Ink can do or write anything to express our thoughts or ideas. But still it is useless without setting it free from a bottle. This time, ink is setting free outside the bottle. It is only drop or pour into a white sheet of paper and still its not properly used. But ink produced to fill the need of a pen. Using pen, is also using ink. Trough pen, everyone can writes, express , clarifies true feelings or emotions. And interprets the colorful life of an individual.

The Rural Maid

It is the first met of a lady and a man who had love at first sight to a lovely lady. But the man feels unlucky because, maybe, he saw the rural lady with someone or carrying her baby and walking with her husband. When they separated, the man went home maybe in the urban area and left the rural lady in a province with someone. Every time the man thinks about the rural maid. Even when he closes his eyes, the beautiful image of a lovely rural maid is on his mind. Every words in this poem make the love known is excuse. It is only to express the true feelings of a poet. If a lady has now a man in his heart, the urban man still keep his love in his heart for a rural maid. This lovely rural maid is like beautiful fairy his ever known.If the man only hold her arms, he feels that heaven and earth is already him.

His life that seems to be sorrowful, he feels lonely that no one will comfort him and share his emotions.When he will start falling in live with a girl, he might found a person to be his guide and inspiration in every sorrow. He gets back in his memory when he was born. He thought bad things like what if he was died when he was a baby. He is trying to know why he is not lucky to have a good and thoughtfulness lady. He thought that maybe he is unlucky to have it and time will truly come. And when the time will come that his love for the lady was know, he promised to love, care and trust each other and his whole life is also given only to the lucky girl.

She is afraid of being old, but it is our destiny and no one can escape that stage. Whatever you want to hinder the oldness, still you cannot prevent its weakening. Someday, you will realized the fact that it should not prevent. And your habit to think about that will vanish especially when you have special someone to be. One thing to do to stay young is to be happy all the time and think positive. Do not be too much angry that will make you look older. You can feel better and happy all the time especially when you see some old couples that are happy and love each other. Because you see your future in them. When you continue allowing bad thoughts occurring within your mind or be depressed all the time, you warmly greet death or welcoming its presence.

V. Integration of Education for Sustainable Development
Can children in grades three to six understand what adults call literature? Can it help them develop moral values and discover life's purpose? Can literature be taught in a way to provide pleasure and benefit for young readers?
Literature is sometimes perceived as a course of study taken in high school or college that allows older students to encounter the ideas and experiences of people throughout history. However, literature is accessible to all ages in a variety of forms, ranging from the simple nursery rhyme to elaborate philosophical treatises. But the adults who are best able to do sophisticated analysis of literature are those who have been encouraged to fall in love with great writing an early age.Children can discover themes, recognize virtues, uncover hidden meaning, and experience enrichment within a framework of enjoyment and delight. By the time children reach grades three to six, a period which Jean Piaget defines as the concrete operations stage, teachers and parents can successfully use literature to transmit value and pleasure, since children are able to think more concretely and form better moral judgments than at earlier developmental stages.
Children at this level of cognitive development will have recently developed the intellectual skills needed to read, along with those required to decode. According to David Russell, children at this stage can understand spatial relationships; they can read and understand longer imaginative stories, and can pick up on an action midstream in the story or any other point. They can appreciate good writing and recognize naughty behavior.Stories have great appeal to children because they are so closely tied to experience. Stories inspire initiation and can take young minds into a world of imagination and wonder. Spalding and Hare say stories give pleasure, teach truth, and they add that God has put it into our nature to be interested in other people, and stories are the record of what other people have done. Stories teach truth by the way in which good characters and bad characters are rewarded or punished.Stories inspire imitation as heroic characters more readers to positive action.Children between grades three to six can enjoy literature. As they face life's experiences in the reading of imaginative works, they are constantly called upon to respond. Often, this response involves moral judgments growing out of a values system.. The approach to parents and teachers to this art form, therefore, is important in helping young people to think critically and logically and to come to terms with their emotions, attitudes, and prejudices. Through stories, truth and value can be transmitted, while bringing delight and pleasure to growing exploring children.
